Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Sunday was good relaxing day :) woke up, went to bikrham--my neck was soooo sore from the cyclone the day before hahah! went back to my dorm, made some breakfast, and then rachel joined me for lunch to hot and crusty (i'll seriously miss that place) and then we walked around upper east side, a nice long walk, and then had a little picnic in central park....it was soo nice and hot for a few hours and we just sat and talked hmmm...then it started pouring ewww....i then joined courtney, matt and his roommate for drinks at bbq (geese where else?) which was fun and then courtney and matt came over, i made some dinner teheheh and then we hung out for a bit...courtney knew a guy promoting at the rooftop at the gaansevort hotel, so we headed over there and actually saw cooper and his friends at ono (the restaurant/bar of the hotel) and hung out with them for a bit. the rooftop was kinda an older crowd so we didnt stay and then just called it a night.

Monday i pretty much did the exact same thing....hot and crusty and sat in central park (my favorite area other than the pond is cedar hill, close to the met :) )i started to read a new book called ender's game, it was nice....then i went and visited cooper--he had a little surgery done so i brought him some gaterade, etc, and just sat and had dinner with him, keeping him company... its been raining still ewww, and i'm sad that i only had less than two weeks!!! :( here in nyc....

Tuesday i slept in, late hahah which was nice and much needed...i went down to soho and browsed around there before i had to work at pink berry from 2-8 pm....i love work its soo fun! i did the cash register today, and made lots of samples (and sampled myself) hahahah the managers are all soo fun i eat soo much of the yogurt and they dont care hahah...after work, cooper couldnt go out because of his surgery so i was going to meet up with courtney and matt but then courtney had some girl's bday party, so matt just came over and we hung out for a bit, then went over to asian pub and got drinks (me a lycheetini of course) which was just laid back and fun....

First Day Working at Pink Berry! and Mermaid Parade!!!

So i went to pink berry today and was already behind the counter working after just a little short tour! it was so much fun and then i even went on to swirling the yogurt--my manager and all of the other team members were so impressed by how good i was hahah (i claimed it was from the yogurtland experience but my manager was sure i had friends at pinkberry or something) I really like all of the people working with me, they are all soo nice! i was there from 3 until like 8:25! I got to make my own huge medium during my break and got to eat the mess-ups tehehe I'm so excited to work again....next week i work tues 2-8 pm and thurs, fri, and sat from 3-10pm (kind of annoying hours but whatever) and next friday we are releasing our new flavors!!! passion fruit and coconut yumm!!! and monday we are getting parfaits and then also liquid toppings (honey, caramel, and pom juice) it was hard work actually and i was exhausted afterwards. cooper came by and surprised me by taking all of these pictures of me in my hot apron and hat hahaha....

Afterwards i went with rachel and cooper to cooper's friends bday pre-party...basically at first a whole apartment of gay guys haha it was hilarious and then a lot of other people came too, it was fun! they we were going to go out dancing but i was soooo dead so me and rachel just went home and cooper and thomas who was there too went out.

Saturday morning i had a meeting at pinkberry...free dunkin donuts! hahah then cooper and rachel and i went to coney island to the mermaid parade! i was soo excited to go but its been POURING nonstop and cooper and rachel didnt know if they wanted to but i dragged them there and even though we kinda missed most of the parade it was still hilarious! we took pics with crazy dressed mermaids and got giant frozen drinks with free refills! i got a mango daquiri :) then we walked around and went on the famous ferris wheel and then rode the cyclone (the rollercoaster) it was POURING rain when we road the cyclone and it was sooo fast and scary! i totally got whiplash and almost fell out...but we rode it twice! hahah all of my mascara ran it was soo funny....then we made the trip back exhausted and wet!

So for a little update on this weeks events :)

Most of the days I've been taking it easy doing some shopping (mostly browsing hehe) and mostly sitting at parks reading....I drooled over Christian Louboutin heels and marc jacobs clothes at bergdorfs and saks :) i visited thomas at work and got free pureology! I went down to the meat packing district and went to scoop and bought a reallly cute leather bracelet that was only $19 from $120! score! AND they had my favorite lip glosses from bath and body works (the mint ones) for only a dollar! so i bought two hahah....i finished my book bergdorf blondes...this weather has been TERRIBLE! its been pouring nonstop! Wednesday i had orientation for pink berry! i learned that they are getting two new flavors...passion fruit and coconut! yum! (I guess green tea is going to be gone for awhile)....i went to a pet store and wanted a dog :( everyone here as french bulldogs i swear! yesterday i did laps at the gym! i only lasted for less than 15 min but i felt so hardcore haha i went down to chelsea market and died over all of these bakeries and cute little stores....yesterday i went and saw the hangover with rachel which was funny....last night i met up with one of catherine donnelly's friends who is here --his name is matt and he goes to ucla with her and he is modeling here haha--so anyways he came out and also courtney kuntz from kappa at berkeley came! and then it was cooper and thomas and cooper's friend--we went to bbq of course!! and then went to this gay bar because they had $3 frozen cosmos yummmmyyy haha and then we went and danced at marqee....which was super fun of course. when we got back cooper and i ended up eating chocolate and chewy bars and apples and talking in his hallway until 4! gosh i was tired this morning hahaha 

This morning i went to breakfast with cooper and then went on a hunt to find khaki pants for pink berry ewww hahah but found some not too ugly ones from gap! then we stopped at got massive chocolate chip cookies at paradis of course! and just walked around union square....ive got to go to pink berry today! so i'm going there now, but just some updates :)

Weekend full of yummy treats and some sunshine at least!

So I was so excited to go lay out in central park....bathing suit and sunscreen all up, pick-a-bagel breakfast in hand...and then when i got to central park it started raining!! and usually it like just kinda mists but its still usually hot outside, but this was like actually rain and here i am in shorts and a tank top.....i was miserable! and angry because my favorite sweater got stolen at le royale the night before....so i took the subway down to canal street and bought a nyc sweatshirt that i have been secretly wanting and this was the perfect opportunity :) because i didnt want to go back to my dorm this is nyc! so i bought a black sweater that has like splattered paint on it and saying new york city ....and then i went down to battery park, walked around, read, and basically sat in front on the best view of the statue of liberty.... then i went on a mission to get a piece of the brooklyn bridge for dad, but that obviously didnt work because it started pouring! by the time i finally got back to the subway station i was completely soaked! so i ran back to dorm and then cooper wanted to get cake hahah so as we are walking to his favorite cake, but we pass by his favorite french cafe with the best chocolate chip cookies he says....SOOO hahaha basically first we stopped and got chocolate chip cookies (and they were absolutely amazinggggg wow so warm and gooey hahaha) and then we went to the cake place, its called the black hound and has all these fancy cakes (we got free samples even of a chocolate strawberry banana cake yum!) but then we split a whole mini cake--vanilla cake with raspberry and lemon like filling and a white chocolate buttercream frosting....extremely rich because then we were SOO full hahaha so we walked around like everywhere trying to make our stomachs feel better hahaha....cooper was too full but then i got some dinner and we just relaxed and then saw a late night movie....valentino: the last emperoro....AMAZINGly good! sooo fun! 

Sunday morning i woke up and went to bikhram yoga! not the same without you flo :(....but it was soo nice and the lady said i did really well yay! did some errands and then went to bagel bob's for lunch---had to get a nyc bagel and it really is true....nyc bagels are way bigger and better than california hehehe i got a pumpernickel one hmm hahah and then i sat and ate it in washington square park by the fountain...then i walked around my favorite stree--bleeker street through west village--near magnolia bakery and marc jacobs accessory store :) they had a flee market with all these booths..oh and i went in the bond number nine store! and smelled like every perfume bottle--i got two free samples of my favs (andy warhol union square and the scent of peace :) ) then i walked to hudson river and the board walk and met up with cooper and nacho (this guy from spain who i met before with darina) and their friend julie, we went to the highline (its this new park that is still being built on an old railroad track and they just finished a third of it, basically its going to go on for like 20 streets or something all above ground, really nice with nice gardens and places to sit, we even had to wait in line to get it! but it was gorgeous! kinda hard to explain so you should look it up, nyc highline....after that cooper and i went and layed out by the chelsea piers :) and then he wanted magnolia of course hahah 

tonight i am going to nacho's going away party/dinner....yay

Nacho's going away dinner/party was oh so fun! cooper and i wore matching outfits heheh (ruffle shirts and white pants and black shoes) . it was hilarious because every single person at the party spoke spanish except for me! half of the people were from spain and so funny and friendly. the party was at Julia (nacho's friends) apartment and we started off having drinks and chips and guac on the rooftop terrace of her apartment building, it was gorgeous, then Julia made ALLL of this absolutely aamazzzing spanish food! wow cooper and i were laughing because we just kept eating and eating and eating haha...weirdly she made this amazing sausage (and i usually do not like sausage at all hahah) but such good pasta and pizza and the works it was so fun! then a group of us went to Greenhouse--and it was gay night....wow....hahah people were dressed up crazzzyyyy it was hilarious

Relaxing week, photoshoot, pink berry interview, dancing

I've had a pretty relaxing week since Flo left...recovering hahah Pretty much spending most of my days reading in central park :) Thursday i went to the south coast plaza photoshoot and spent the ENTIRE day there! it was sooo much fun! i loved watching the photographer take pictures of the model--she was russian and spoke like no english. they were shooting for their fall catalog, so that day they shot some burberry, chloe, facconable, tory burch, anne fontaine...so cool! Debra was so nice talking to me and introducing me to everyone---i totally made friends with all of the helpers--make-up artists, hair stylists, clothes stylists, and photographer helpers. they even asked me to help with lighting on the set by taking pictures hahaha they were like model for us :) the hair stylist jokingly was like is she our model haha and they had the most amazing free food of course--i think enough to feed like a whole country hahaha but it was amazingly good....i ended up being a help with tech support hehe---setting up debra and mr. segerstrom with gmail chat, skype, and all of the above it was hilarious. anton segerstrom was asking me about his computer etc the whole time and we had great talks about south coast plaza and twitter even ...i cannot wait to start my internship when i get back.

another good news is i had my interview for pinkberry! she said she really liked me and i that i could start working! FINALLLYYYY seriously i turned in my application the day i got here! and now i finally get the job but i still have to wait to do orientation, i'm sooo annoyed. i'm going to end up working for like literally a week and then will have to leave :( I'm hoping maybe they can transfer me to newport and i can do it like on the weekends on top of my internship for awhile. i just wanna work!!!!! 

After my pinkberry interview i went up to visit columbia university, and just read there for awhile, walked around, etc. it was super nice and hot up there! but weirdly raining while it was sunny hahah...after that i went to the MOMA because its free on fridays from 4-8pm. of course it was soooo crowded but i LOVE the museum! i got to see picasso's demoiselles avignon!!!--which i totally studied a lot this past semester in art history, as well as andy warhol's marilyn monroe and a bunch of Braque, Cezanne, etc. it was amazing...oh and jason pollock too! Then i went out to dinner with Cooper, Rachel, and Cooper's roommate Ben--we went to this really yummy italian place called Otto--Cooper ordered us a bottle of this type of like red sparkling wine, it was definitely yummy. Ben had to leave early to meet a friend to see a movie, but Rachel, Cooper, and i went back to my room and cooper made us some yummy drinks. Rachel couldnt go out but Cooper and i went and danced at Le Royale--so fun :) 

This morning i browsed around the farmer's market and i think I am going to lay out in central park  and hopefully meet up with courtney kuntz and chiara--two girls from kappa who are here!

Flo's last day :(

so after i turned in an application at this soap store, i met up with flo who had headed over to central park to read, but the weather was totally gross and we were freeezinggg so we went back and changed and then went over to bryant park which is so adorable and just walked around there, grabbed some lunch and sat for a bit...then we walked along madison to check out the burberry skyline and then over to the LOVE statue! then just kept walking and went through central park etc, super relaxing and fun! then we went to asian pub and got four rounds of lycheetinis plus a birthday cake shot!!!! hahahaha sooo funny Then we met up for dinner at republic with thomas and cooper :) and just hung out

Flo Comes to Visit Day 4!

so proud of flo and I because this morning we woke up and went to bikrham! we went to yoga for the people so it was super cheap but the studio was super nice and it was sooo hot! flo and i came our dripping of course but it felt amazing. then we met up with cooper, grabbed some hot and crusty of course, plus our books and bathingsuits and sunscreen and went and tanned at central park....it was SOO relaxing and hot and all these people were just out and about....i absolutely loved it! i loved watching all the kids play and puppies :) We layed there for most of the day...then popped in the met 30 min before it closed just so we could see the amazing impressionism wing. then got some tasti delight! yum! Then flo and i got in "summer sexy clothes" haha because we went with Thomas to a party on the rooftop of the hotel gansevoort, no biggie :) it was so posh and beautiful...basically thomas knew some people so free drinks and just crazy cool. then us three went and got dinner at a cute italian place along the street. Then flo and i finished the nice sooooo amazingly by dressing totally up and oh you know just going to get drinks at the palace hotel heheeheheh it was soo fun! and i guess the tony's were that night so we saw all these people dressed up too! what another amazing day!!!

Flo Comes to Visit Day 3!

Day 3! So Flo and I wake up and walk around union square farmer's market a bit, and sit and eat some breakfast, then make our way down to the west village/greenwich for a little shopping and just walking etc we died at the marc jacobs store obviously and over all of the adorable houses.... then we went over to soho and hit up bcbg yessss and visited thomas at phillip lim. afterwards we got changed and met up with cooper and his friend and went to this picasso exhibit--it was all of his more recent works like from the 1970s and was soo cool! we were right by the piers and it was just such a gorgeous day! then we went to the best place every, the frying pan which was SOOO crowded! haha when darina and i went there was like no one, but this time the whole entire like four boats + dock were covered it was so fun...me cooper and flo split a bottle of prosecco :) and then of course afterwards we just had to get bbq oh goodness hahaha then for dinner we went to this fun cuban restaurant yummy yummyyy

Flo Comes to Visit Day 2!

Day 2! So flo and I planned to go running through central park, and we wake up and its totally raining!!! what happened to the sun!? well rain didnt stop us :) we went running through central park in the rain yess it was fabulous! then we went to cafe gitane for some avocado toast!!!!!! soooo yummy and some amazing salads....then we went down to soho and did a little shopping etc., hit up top shop--so overwhelming--and then had to stop at dean and deluca because we were freeezingggg...then we couldnt take the rain any longer, so we went and got massive crumbs cucpakes and ate them with some tea and magazines in my dorm :) i got the cotton candy one--vanilla cake with cotton candy flavored cream cheese frosting!--and flo got vanilla coconut....then we went and got our nails done (yes in the rain!) haha but oh so fun! Afterwards we met up to go out with Cooper and his french friend Jeremie (he could barely speak english ahha but was working in ny for french vogue! so cool!) and also my friend rachel came and we went and got thai food at this awesome restaurant called cafeteria, which also had some amazing drinks :) then we went and got drinks at bbar (the watermelon martinis were extremely strong haha) then rachel had to leave, but the four of us continued to a dance club, i forgot the name, where cooper knew and promoter...basically free drinks and dancing until 4 in the morning! SOOO FUN!
